Livingston 5 - 0 Dumbarton

LIVINGSTON laid the groundwork for their first home league win of the season with a forceful first-half display that yielded three goals after 36 minutes, writes Darren Johnstone at Almondvale.

SCORERS:

Livingston - McNulty 9, 36; Barr 12; Booth 64; Jacobs 75

Iain Russell set up Marc McNulty for the opener when his delivery across the six-yard box was volleyed home by the marksman. More inept defending allowed Craig Barr to head in a second in the 12th minute when he reached Tony Andreu’s cross.

The visitors missed a 17th-minute penalty when Chris Turner dragged a woeful effort wide and McNulty added a second when he forced a volley past Stephen Grindlay at the near post. Callum Booth scored with his first touch just seconds after replacing Stefan Scougall in the 64th minute when he stroked the ball into the net after Russell’s shot had been blocked by Grindlay.

Keaghan Jacobs then curled a free-kick over the wall in the 75th minute from 20 yards.
