Friday night alright for Hamilton Accies and Partick Thistle

The SFL’s first Friday night fixture of the season is a repeat of one that they used to test the demand last season.

Hamilton Accies will host Partick Thistle at New Douglas Park at 7.45pm on Friday, 16 November, a day earlier than previously scheduled.

Thistle won the first Friday night clash, beating Morton 5-0 at Firhill last September, with the Accies winning the second one in January when they defeated Thistle 1-0. A third game between Livingston and Hamilton was called off due to a water-logged pitch in March.

A SFL spokesperson said, “We are delighted to announce another Friday Night Football match. This follows the success of the Friday night matches played last season.”
