The clamour to watch Dumbarton striker Bryan Prunty’s recent wonder goal led to Livingston’s club website crashing.

The Lions posted highlights online of their defeat to Dumbarton a week past Saturday, in which Prunty scored a Wayne Rooney-esque overhead kick, but they didn’t anticipate the huge level of interest that followed. As a link to the footage went viral, livingstonfc.co.uk collapsed for 24 hours last week under the strain of trying to satisfy an estimated 100,000 people keen to see the goal.
