POLAND football fans are enraged by the disappearance of the eagle emblem from the national team’s jerseys.

Even President Bronislaw Komorowsk has demanded an explanation from the Polish FA over the new shirts, which bear an artistic variant of the FA’s logo and the Nike ‘swoosh’.

When the design was worn for a friendly against Italy last week, thousands of angry fans chanted “Where is the Eagle?”

They are demanding the return of the long-used emblem of a crowned white eagle against a red background.
