Morton 1 - 0 Cowdenbeath: Hawke eye for goal hands Ton victory
Anything positive or forward-thinking in the first half stemmed from Morton as they dominated a Cowdenbeath team so mystifyingly negative it seemed one of former manager Craig Levein’s coaching manuals must have been unearthed and dusted down.
The home team’s domination of the ball was just about total, yet for all their prodding they failed to make the breakthrough they more than deserved, despite David Graham going close three times and David O’Brien only being denied by a brilliant intervention from Blue Brazil defender, John Armstrong.

However, just as the full points haul appeared to be eluding Morton, substitute Lewis Hawke, son of Warren, volleyed home a wonderful strike to take all the spoils.
