Peterhead went two points clear at the top with this win at Shielfield. Rory McAllister’s fifth minute opener was cancelled out by Berwick’s
Steven Notman on the stroke of half-time. A 62nd minute free-kick by McAllister restored Peterhead’s lead before Dean Cowie added a third.
Stirling Albion 1, Clyde 1
Title-chasing Clyde were held at Forthbank. John Sweeney fired the Cumbernauld-based side in front from close range on the rebound in the 44th minute. Stirling responded valiantly, though, and secured a draw courtesy of Graham Weir’s drilled effort in the 69th minute.
Annan Athletic 2, Elgin City 1
Annan Athletic stay third after coming from behind to win. Shane Sutherland headed Elgin into a 63rd-minute lead but the visitors’ Raymond Jellema was sent off for a foul. Scott Davidson equalised with the resulting penalty before Kenny Mackay’s 84th-minute winner.
Albion Rovers 2, Queen’s Park 1
Albion Rovers held on to claim a 2-1 success over bottom side Queen’s Park. Liam Cusack’s speculative effort gave Rovers a 45th-minute lead, after which Scott Chaplain added a second with a fine run and shot. Michael Dunlop’s own goal halved Queen’s Park’s arrears late on.
East Stirlingshire 2, Montrose 2
IN an entertaining match at Ochilview Callum Gallagher’s seventh-minute strike handed Shire the advantage only for Montrose’s Garry Wood to level. Iain Thomson restored the hosts’ lead after the restart but Graham Webster’s 59th-minute goal salvaged a point for Montrose.
