ALBION ROVERS v PETERHEAD

Albion Rovers last night signed experienced central defender Sean Sweeney ahead of today’s top-of-the-table clash against Peterhead.

Rovers manager Peter Hetherston is without goalkeeper Chris Fahey and Jordan Smith, while the Highlanders add Martin Bavidge and Bob Duncan.

Peterhead ran SPL Partick Thistle close in the CIS Cup on Wednesday night. Manager Ian Wilson said: "We were outstanding in midweek and I hope the legs will be fully recovered."

GRETNA v STIRLING ALBION

Leaders Stirling Albion travel with a full-strength squad to Gretna. Manager Allan Moore said: "We are going there looking to win and open a bigger gap at the top."

Gretna have Ian Steven and Richard Prokas back after bans.

MONTROSE v STRANRAER

Montrose are out to restore confidence after their 9-0 mauling by Hibs in the CIS Cup. Club directors have decided that any supporters who can show proof they were at the Easter Road game will be given free admission today.

Stranraer’s Michael Moore is doubtful but David Gibson and Murray Henderson are fit.

ELGIN v COWDENBEATH

Elgin are still without striker Charlie McLean, but Neil McLean returns against Cowdenbeath.

Ian Morrison is a doubt for the Fifers, while Ian Mauchlen and Ken Gordon are out.

EAST STIRLING v QUEEN’S PARK

East Stirling have a full squad against Queen’s Park, with manager Steve Morrison eager to secure a first win of the season.
