RANGERS fans have demanded Ibrox chief Graham Wallace reveals whether he is in line for a £300,000 bonus.

Supporters’ coalition group Union of Fans issued a statement last night expressing ‘shareholder concern’ about the culture of large cash rewards in the boardroom, which saw former chief executive Charles Green and ex-finance director Brian Stockbridge double their salaries while at the club.

And now Ibrox fans have demanded clarity on whether Mr Wallace is in line to pick up a whopping bonus that could see his annual earnings top £600,000.

The statement said: “We would therefore urge Graham Wallace to disclose publicly whether or not he has ended the bonus culture within the club or whether it has continued with new appointments.

“We do not feel that, under circumstances in which the club is losing large amounts of money on a monthly basis, shareholders should have to wait until the audited accounts are published to find this out.

“Can Mr Wallace, for instance, earn an annual 100 per cent bonus on his salary, which it has been said is in excess of £300,000 a year?”

The alliance also raised concerns that the board have so far refused to answer questions posed last week by ex-director Dave King, who asked if Mr Wallace knew that the club wasa running out of cash at the agm in December of last year.

Although the club refused to comment on the Ibrox chief’s salary details, a spokesman told the Daily Record: “We do not comment on the details of any employee’s compensation.

“Mr Wallace, as a director of Rangers plc, will have his remuneration fully disclosed in the annual accounts in the normal manner.”
