BBC Scotland will screen the Scottish League Cup quarter-final clash between Hearts and Hibernian, it was announced today.
The televised match, which will take place at Easter Road on Wednesday 30 October at 7pm, will be one of three matches to be played on the date. It is the third successive season in which the Edinburgh rivals will meet in knockout competition.
Hibernian defeated Stranraer 5-3 at Easter Road to make the last eight of the League Cup, while Hearts won a penalty shoot-out with Queen of the South after the game ended 3-3.
Morton, who pulled off the shock of the tournament by beating Celtic 1-0 on Wednesday, will play St Johnstone at Cappielow. Kick-off is 7.30pm. The Saints defeated Hamilton 3-0 to progress to the quarter finals.
Motherwell, who edged out Livingston two days ago, will host Aberdeen at Fir Park, who swept aside Falkirk 5-0 to make it to the last eight.
Meanwhile, Inverness Caledonian Thistle will host Dundee United on Tuesday 29 October at 7.45pm. A David Goodwillie hat-trick helped the Tannadice side to a 4-1 victory over Partick Thistle, while Inverness edged past Dundee with a 1-0 win.
