ENGLAND’S lacklustre World Cup campaign in which they exited at the group stages has seen them plummet to 20th in the FIFA rankings - just seven places above Scotland in 27th.
Defeats to Italy and Uruguay and a scoreless draw with Costa Rica left Roy Hodgson’s team with just a single point from the World Cup, and led to them dropping down from 10th in the international standings.
England are now placed behind Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Mexico after the tournament in Brazil.
Winners Germany are now ranked in top spot following their 1-0 win over Argentina, who lie second, whilst the Netherlands have to third, up 12 places from 15th thanks to their third-place finish after defeating Brazil.
Colombia are up to fourth, while Belgium and France make it into the top 10.
Brazil and Spain lie seventh and eighth respectively, having been in third and first prior to the tournament.
Wales currently sit in 44th place, down three spots, while the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland lie 70th and 89th respectively.
