ON-LOAN Celtic winger Jo Inge Berget looks likely to return to Cardiff in January after failing to make an impact at Parkhead.

The Norway international, who joined Cardiff in January 2014 from Molde, linking up with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, joined the Hoops on loan in July, with an option for a permanent deal in January 2015.

He played under Ronny Deila during a season-long loan in the 2010/11 season, where he netted eight times in 31 matches.

However, Berget has made just four appearances for Ronny Deila’s men, and last made an appearance as a substitute against Dinamo Zagreb in October.

Deila told the Evening Times: “Jo Inge’s loan contract finishes in January. We have not decided yet. But I think Jo Inge needs playing time and therefore, he will look for other choices.”

Berget scored a double in a 6-1 win on his home debut against Dundee United in August.
