HEARTS administrators BDO are hopeful of naming the Foundation of Hearts as the preferred bidder amid continued doubts over Angelo Massone’s takeover offer.
The fans group and Italian lawyer Massone are the only remaining interested parties after an offer from local businessman Bob Jamieson was discarded.
But Massone failed to meet a Friday deadline for proof of funds for his proposed £4.25 million Company Voluntary Arrangement.
The FOH have £3m for a takeover and £3.75m working capital available over three years.
Massone’s failure to hand over the relevant paperwork could now lead to an announcement of the preferred bidder this week.
