CELTIC are believed to be in the hunt to sign Portuguese winger Andre Carvalhas.
The 23-year-old, who currently plays for Naval in the Portuguese Second Division, is out of contract in the summer and would be available for free if Celtic can woo him to Parkhead.
Celtic scouts have reportedly been spotted by members of the Portuguese media at a number of Naval games in recent weeks.
Carvalhas, who has scored seven goals this season, has spoken of his desire for a move from the side currently in 13th place in the Segunda Liga.
In a recent interview he said: “I have had a good season and perhaps this summer is the moment for me to try a new challenge outside of Portugal.
“I am waiting to see what happens but I have decided that I now want to accept a new challenge.”
Celtic could face tough competition for Carvalhas, with Wigan Athletic, Panionios and Palermo believed to be in pursuit of the player.
