As expected, the first Old Firm game of the season will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. The fixture at Ibrox remains on Saturday 23 September but with a new 12noon kick-off.

The first Edinburgh derby of the campaign has also been selected. BT Sport will show the game between Hibs and Hearts at Easter Road on Tuesday 24 October with a 7.45pm kick-off, a day before the originally scheduled time.

The same channel will show Celtic’s trip to Aberdeen 24 hours later. The champions will also have away matches against Hamilton, St Johnstone and Ross County screened live.

In addition to their clash with Brendan Rodgers’ side, Aberdeen have had three of their away fixtures picked by the broadcasters, including their Saturday 21 October trip to Ibrox, which will be covered by Sky Sports.

Pedro Caixinha’s side themselves have had five of their away games moved. The pick of the bunch is arguably their Saturday 28 October trip to Tynecastle, which will now take place at 12.30pm and also be shown by Sky.

Matches taking place on the weekend of 21 October and 25 November could be moved for the later stages of the Betfred Cup.
