ABERDEEN have confirmed the signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Donervon Daniels on a loan deal until the end of the season, pending international clearance.
Daniels, 21, has had loan spells with Tranmere, Gillingham and Blackpool, and is in the Dons squad for their League Cup semi-final clash with Dundee United on Saturday.
Derek McInnes told afc.co.uk: “I would like to express our thanks to West Brom for their assistance in getting the deal completed.
“In Donervon we’ve got a player with a good presence and for who we have a high regard.
Hopefully his time with us with be beneficial for both us and Donervon.”
The Montserratian defender captained West Brom to victory in the Birmingham Senior Cup final against Tamworth in 2014 and although he has yet to feature for the Baggies’ first-team, he is highly thought of at the Hawthorns.
Aberdeen have been looking for defensive cover after Ash Taylor’s injury lay-off.
