Chaplain’s strike answers Annan’s prayers

Annan Athletic twice came from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw.

Scott Dalziel headed Berwick into a 14th-minute lead only for Ali Love to equalise. Fraser McLaren restored Berwick’s advantage but Annan emerged with a point courtesy of Scott Chaplain’s 70th minute leveller.

Clyde 2, Peterhead 0

Clyde remain bottom of the table despite an impressive 2-0 victory over Peterhead.

Pat Scullion set up Kevin Watt for Clyde’s 65th-minute opener and,

following Ryan Strachan’s dismissal, John Sweeney netted their second from the penalty spot.

Elgin City 1, Stirling Albion 2

Elgin City’s play-off aspirations were damaged by a 2-1 defeat at the hands of in-form Stirling Albion.

Kieran McAnespie opened the scoring after only seven minutes. Elgin restored parity through Stuart Leslie but McAnespie notched a stunning winner on the volley.

Queen’s Park 1, Montrose 2

Two goals in three second-half

minutes earned Montrose an excellent 2-1 comeback victory.

The home side took the lead in the 39th minute through Michael Keenan, but Leighton McIntosh equalised in the 73rd minute and Martin Boyle netted the winner.
