SCOTLAND face a strong-looking Belgium squad next Friday after coach Marc Wilmots named a 24-man party for the World Cup qualifier at Hampden.
Included are Barclays Premier League stars Christian Benteke, Marouane Fellaini - who continues to be the subject of transfer speculation linking him with a move from Everton to Manchester United - Kevin Mirallas and Romelu Lukaku. Belgium lead Group A on 19 points from second-placed Croatia.
Scotland have only pride to play for now in the group, but they achieved just that when they won 1-0 in Croatia thanks to Robert Snodgrass’s goal in their last World Cup group qualifier, and Gordon Strachan’s men also performed with credit during their 3-2 defeat to England at Wembley earlier this month.
Strachan named his squad - minus the now internationally retired Kenny Miller - last Friday for the forthcoming matches against Belgium on Friday and Macedonia on Tuesday, 10 September..
