Flagship women's golf event sunk
SCOTTISH women's golf has suffered a blow with the disappearance of the Scottish Ladies' Open from next year's record-breaking £11million schedule.
"It's very disappointing but unlikely that the Scottish Ladies' Open will take place next year," confirmed a Tour spokesman. "But the LET is working closely with Event Scotland and the hope is that it will be back on the schedule in 2010."
After an 11-year absence, the Scottish Open was revived last year with Sweden's Sophie Gustafson victorious.
