Ferguson's future remains unclear
BARRY Ferguson remains uncertain about his future despite starting in Rangers' Scottish Cup final win.
The 31-year-old, who was stripped of the captaincy and suspended for two weeks without pay for his role in the 'Boozegate' saga when on World Cup duty with Scotland, has been linked with a summer move from Ibrox.
Ferguson has been linked with West Brom and Birmingham and, speaking after the 1-0 win over Falkirk, he said: "What happens next? I'm going to go away and enjoy a holiday with my family. If that is the end, at least I've come back with my head held high. I made a mistake. I can't turn back the clock.
"I didn't think I would get the chance to play again, but I've come back in the last three games. It's great to win a double. It wasn't a great game, but at the end of the day it's all about winning and we've done that."
Ibrox team-mate Lee McCulloch hopes the Rangers fans have not seen the last of Ferguson. "I don't know if it was Barry's last game." he said. "People are making a big thing of it but Barry has a year left on his contract and so we will wait and see what happens.
"I hope he stays. He still has something to offer the club. He has been a great servant to Rangers, a great player to play with and he is a lovely guy. I think he is a good guy to have at the club, but it's not up to me, it's up to Barry and the club."
