East League results
GRETNA kicked off life in the East of Scotland League with an impressive 3-0 win away to Kelso United.
More than 100 supporters travelled to watch the club reformed under the name of Gretna 2008 kick off the First Division campaign in style. It was their first match since the original club folded with 4m debts and resigned from the Scottish Football League.
A Daniel Carmichael double and a Daniel Grayson strike were enough to sink Kelso. Manager Stuart Rome said: "It was a very emotional occasion for everyone connected with Gretna. As a local Gretna man I am delighted there is a team for everyone to support."
Craigroyston thrashed Vale of Leithen 5-1 in the only other First Division match. In the Premier Division, Heriot-Watt University defeated Dalbeattie Star 2-1.
