Dunfermline Athletic 0 - 0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle: Pars fail again to end Caley hoodoo
HONOURS were shared in a match which survived three pitch inspections and left Dunfermline still looking for their first home win over Inverness Caley since 1999.
It marked a big day in the career of 20-year-old Pars goalkeeper Greg Paterson who was called upon to make his league debut with on loan Greg Fleming and Chris Smith both sidelined through injury. Paterson looked lively enough, dashing out of goal to smother the ball at the foot of Caley's top goalscorer Adam Rooney.
Central defender Neil McGregor was superb producing a last-gasp tackle to stop Rooney in his tracks and the Caley front man was again in the thick of things when he cracked a Richie Foran delivery past the post.
Dunfermline striker Andy Kirk attempted to curl a drive past Ryan Esson and after the break his effort on the turn was pushed around the post.
Just after the hour mark winger David Graham cut inside the Caley defence but his shot was blocked by Esson.
