Dundee 3-2 Partick Thistle: Hectic season for The Dee concludes with comfortable victory

DUNDEE ended their tumultuous season in style with a comfortable victory over Partick Thistle.
With a big crowd of 7,746 at Dens Park to acclaim the team for their achievement of avoiding relegation despite being hit with a 25-point penalty, a double from Craig Forsyth and a Matt Lockwood penalty gave them the victory craved from the stands.
Partick lost Martin Grehan to a neck injury and had their misery compounded when Willie Kinniburgh was sent off.
After a largely even first-half, Partick lost striker Grehan just after the break when he fell awkwardly after going up for a high challenge with Kyle Benedictus. Dundee then took the lead on 58 minutes through Forsyth. He picked the ball up from Nicky Riley on the angle, took one touch and beat Scott Fox from eight yards. He added another two minutes later, nodding home a rebound after Fox saved his initial shot.
Partick hit back when Stewart hammered a shot across Douglas into the far corner.
Thistle's joy was short-lived, though, as Kinniburgh was penalised for clambering over the back of Forsyth inside the box. Referee Bob Madden pointed to the spot and ordered the player off before Lockwood converted the kick.
The Jags got a consolation through Doolan in the final seconds.
