Dons risking trouble over ref remarks
ABERDEEN are risking heavy punishment from the Scottish Football Association after criticising the standard of refereeing in their 2-0 defeat at Hibernian on Saturday.
The Dons had Maurice Ross and Chris Maguire sent off in a match that saw eight yellow cards shown, and last night an impassioned but unattributed statement on the Pittodrie club's website called on a "common sense" approach to refereeing – and also appeared to suggest that the referee was on Hibs' side.
The statement said: "Nine against eleven (perhaps make that twelve!) for the best part of half an hour means an unequal situation and one that is cheating the fans."
