Division 3 round-up: Annan Athletic 2 - 4 Albion Rovers
ANNAN fell to their first defeat in the SFL as they were beaten 4-2 by Albion Rovers.
Pat Walker and Bobby Barr both scored within half an hour though Annan's Derek Townlsey reduced the deficit in the 33rd minute and Kevin Neilson headed the hosts level on the hour mark.
But Walker then dispatched a fabulous lob over Craig Summersgill in the Annan goal and substitute Mark Pollock added a fourth in 89 minutes.
Berwick Rangers2
Forfar Athletic2
BERWICK and Forfar drew a match of three penalties 2-2.
Forfar took the lead in 21 minutes, with Kevin McLeish making no mistake with the game's first penalty after Jamie Ewart had hauled down Johnny Russell.
Darren Gribben slotted home the equaliser, also from the spot, after David Dunn had floored Jim Lister. Gribben also slotted Berwick's second penalty, but a trialist grabbed the Forfar equaliser.
Dumbarton 1
East Stirlingshire 1
DUMBARTON and East Stirling shared the spoils in a match in which the visitors completely lost their discipline.
Dumbarton went ahead in a quiet first half, Stephen Murray firing home past Greg Mitchell in 25 minutes.
Craig Tully was sent off, followed by five bookings in 12 minutes for East Stirling.
In 70 minutes Mark McKenzie latched on to a long ball, and scored with East Stirling's first attempt on goal.
Montrose 1
Elgin City 0
MONTROSE took full points in a match they should have won by more than 1-0.
Montrose got the goal they deserved ten minutes into the second half, after a Kevin Bradley corner was not properly cleared, the ball fell to Jamie Buchan, who chested down and rifled home from just outside the area.
Paul Kaczan and Mark Nicolson both came close late on for the visitors, but could not beat Greg Kelly in the Montrose goal.
Stenhousemuir 1
Cowdenbeath 0
STENHOUSEMUIR ran out very fortunate 1-0 winners over Cowdenbeath at Ochilview in a game the visitors dominated.
The Blue Brazil controlled the first half, John Gemmill had a goal controversially ruled out in the eighth minute and midfielder Brian Fairbairn rattled the crossbar five minutes later.
The hosts stole the points in the 85th minute as Kevin Motion fired home Ian Thomson's accurate cross past Kieron Renton.
