Division 2
Berwick Rangers 1 Annan Athletic 1
ANNAN dominated much of their clash with Berwick only to come away with a 1-1 draw.
Darren Gribben handed Berwick an unlikely lead in the 57th minute with a sensational strike from 25 yards.
However, the Galabank side bounced back immediately when Phil Storey raced clear to fire high past the isolated Jamie Barclay.
Annan pressed hard for a winner but had to settle for a point.
Dumbarton 4
Forfar Athletic 0
DUMBARTON stormed to the top of the division courtesy of an emphatic 4-0 win against Forfar.
The Sons made the ideal start when Forfar's Elliot Smith deflected a cross into his own net. Denis McLaughlin made it two on 25 minutes before Derek Carcary made it three.
Forfar's Ross Campbell missed a penalty and then Sons substitute Kieran Brannan added a late fourth for Dumbarton who have promotion in their hands.
Elgin City 0
East Stirling 2
EAST Stirlingshire are now assured of at least a play-off place after a straight-forward 2-0 win at bottom club Elgin City.
The visitors broke the deadlock inside 22 minutes when Brian Graham evaded the Elgin offside trap to bear down on goal and finish comfortably past Elgin keeper Andy McNulty.
Shire doubled their advantage and sealed a priceless three points when Graham converted a perfectly measured Jamie Stevenson cross.
Montrose 2
Cowdenbeath 1
MONTROSE came from behind to put a massive dent in Cowdenbeath's promotion hopes, beating the Blue Brazil 2-1 at Links Park.
It had started so well for the visitors with John Gemmill volleying home after only eight minutes.
Montrose levelled through Steven Tweed in 65 minutes. The Gable Endies faint play-off hopes were kept alive when Chris Hegarty scored from the spot after Kevin Bradley had been fouled.
Stenhousemuir 2
Albion Rovers 0
STENHOUSEMUIR stole a march on their play-off rivals by defeating Albion Rovers 2-0 at Ochilview.
Kevin Motion opened the scoring for the home side just after the restart with a free kick from 20 yards.

The game was made safe with 15 minutes to go, Ian Diack getting in behind the Albion defence before firing past Jamie Ewings.
