Dailly fears Grant effect

CHRISTIAN DAILLY believes the return of Peter Grant to Celtic means Rangers will have to "up their game" next season if they want to retain their SPL title.

Die-hard Hoops' fan Grant, who played in midfield for the Parkhead side in the 1980s and 1990s, is first-team coach to new boss Tony Mowbray and his assistant Mark Venus.

Dailly said: "Peter was brilliant with me at West Ham and I think he will do very well at Celtic.

I think he could be a manager without any problem but he is made for a No.2 role. Peter was the bridge between the players and management at West Ham."
