Ali SHAH continues to celebrate being the latest winner of East cricket’s Player of the Month prize.
The opener, who hit a double century in claiming his award earlier this season, posted a top score of 62 for Carlton II in a Baillie Gifford East League Division One victory at St Boswells.
The Borderers could make only 116 responding to a total of 208-8.
Carlton II remain unbeaten alongside Grange II who had too much experience for Edinburgh Accies in a Raeburn Place derby.
Put in to bat, Grange II made hay with Giles Holmes blasting 136 not out while Stuart Davidson and Simon Taylor added 25 apiece to a total of 282-6.
For Accies, Coinneach Carmichael made 60 and skipper Ryan Williams was unbeaten on 62.
Carlton II are due to host Grange II on July 27.
There was a tie – 267 runs apiece – between Murrayfield DAFS and Edinburgh South with the former’s Sam Fergusson (127no) and South’s Graeme Beghin (113) making centuries.
Rizwan Ullah carried his bat for an unbeaten 101 as Musselburgh hammered Dunfermline at McKane Park, Rene Collins taking four wickets for the visitors while Holy Cross defeated Watsonian II by 47 runs. Charlie Ellis top scored with 43 when opening for Cross.
In Division Two, Matt Loeffen’s unbeaten 50 helped propel Marchmont to victory at Clackmannan but Leith FAB still remain without a win after going down to Largo.
