SHANE Warne took on the role of a cricket ambassador when he attended the recent Estonia v Slovenia match. The former Australian international spinner turned up with his actress fiancée Elizabeth Hurley at the ICC World Twenty20 Global qualifier in Tallinn – with not a safety pin in sight. It was the first European tournament to be held in the Baltic state.

Co-host organiser and Estonia captain Tim Heath was delighted by Warne’s visit.

He said: “It will no doubt give all the teams a boost to see a player of his stature here.”
