Matt Crowther hit a century and teenage spinner Haris Aslam took four quick wickets as Carlton II stayed at the top of the East One table.
The Grange Loan side went into their home clash with Dunfermline with three wins from three completed matches. And they all but put this game out of sight by the tea interval, rattling up an imposing total of 318-4 batting first.
Club coach Crowther led the way with 101 not out while the experienced Steve Gilmour made 92 on his first appearance of the season. In reply, the Fifers were bowled out for 111, Aslam the pick of the bowling attack with 4-9.
This coming weekend, Carlton II host Holy Cross and the latter team will also go in to that one in confident mood after defeating Edinburgh South on Saturday.
Batting first, Edinburgh South made 182 all out; overseas amateur Graeme Beghin top scoring with 66. Holy Cross managed to reach their target for the loss of three wickets.
Grange II defeated Murrayfield DAFS with Mike Powell scoring 67 at Leith Academy to help them post 217-6. DAFS were then bowled out for 137.
Teenager Chris Cash hit 82 not out and Euan Robertson made 68 as Watsonians II overcame the 198-9 set by Musselburgh at Craiglockhart. St Boswells defeated Edinburgh Accies by 88 runs in the Borders, Accies bowled out for 136 when chasing 225 to win.
