Cricket: Pietersen has IPL doubts
ENGLAND batsman Kevin Pietersen could pull out of the lucrative Indian Premier League if security experts warn him against playing.
The former England captain will make his decision after consulting his IPL team, Bangalore Royal Challengers, following the ongoing fifth Test against West Indies.
The terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team in Pakistan has heightened concern about the security of the world's top players, and Pietersen said: "I'll be consulting as many people as I can but if I don't think it is right, then I will not be going. Hopefully the security will come right for India but if everybody pulls out of the IPL, it would be a disaster and world cricket would really be on a down."
