Cricket: Drummond takes charge against Canada
GORDON Drummond will captain Scotland for the first time in this week's Intercontinental Cup clash with Canada at Mannofield.
The Carlton all-rounder, one of two vice-captains, takes the reins from Gavin Hamilton who is unavailable for the four-day encounter in Aberdeen.
The Scots had an innings victory in the corresponding fixture in Toronto last year and are aiming to make a winning start to a new campaign in the ICC's First Class contest for Associate countries.
However, the selectors have been hit by a string of call-offs, with the bowlers particularly badly hit.
