Clyde and Livingston fixture woe
CLYDE and Livingston could be forced to play four games in a week after cup rules forced their Active Nation Scottish Cup tie to be rescheduled for next Monday, 7 December.
After Saturday's third-round match at Broadwood was abandoned due to heavy fog, last night's planned meeting then fell foul to a frozen pitch.
Cup regulations now mean the tie must be played the following Monday with a potential replay on the Wednesday. So, in the event of a draw, both clubs are now facing fixtures on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Livingston chief executive Ged Nixon said: "It is clear in the rules and comes with the territory. We just have to get on with it."
The winners will be rewarded with a home tie against Dundee in the fourth round.
Meanwhile, Clyde have confirmed John McCormack as their new manager until the end of the season.
The 54-year-old arrived at Broadwood as first-team coach in September and took charge of Saturday's abandoned cup tie against Livingston following John Brown's departure last week.
'Cowboy' McCormack has previously been manager at Dundee, Queen's Park, Morton and Albion Rovers.
