City students have Stirling in their sights

EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY entertain Glasgow University at Peffermill tomorrow determined to keep the pressure on league leaders Stirling University in their quest to win the Inter Scottish Universities Queen's Park Shield for the first time since 2000.

Edinburgh drew 1-1 with Glasgow in their earlier meeting when Benji Antoni scored, although he is unlikely to feature because of an injury. Michael Hazeldine will also miss out along with Steven Maxwell. However, Swedish striker Peder Beck-Friis, who scored twice against Edinburgh City at the weekend, is available.

Heriot-Watt University, holders of the Queen's Park Shield for the past five seasons, are losing their grip on the trophy having lost three of their opening four games in the tight ten-match league.

They host leaders Stirling University at Riccarton, with coach Ross Campbell ready to test himself against Stirling coach and former Spartans coach Raleigh Gowrie.

Heriot-Watt have Andy Forbes out with a broken ankle but Ollie Antoni is fit. Both games kick-off at 2.00pm.
