Chris Wood wins Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award
A remarkable performance in the Open Championship has helped Chris Wood land the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award.
Wood, who turns 22 today, tied fifth at Royal Birkdale, but went even better at Turnberry in July, missing out on a play-off by just one shot in third place.
The Bristol professional, who finished 44th in the Race to Dubai with earnings of 679,559, said: "Looking at the list of names who have won this title makes me appreciate I am in good company, alongside people like Sir Nick Faldo."
