Football help for jobless

A NEW initiative which uses football to help disadvantaged young people back into employment has kicked off in the Capital.

The Football Works project launched yesterday with a tournament involving 300 young people who have experienced issues such as addiction and long-term unemployment. It was set up by Dunedin Canmore Group and Street Soccer and looks to offer support to 500 people over the next three years.
