Cerny savours precious point

HAMILTON goalkeeper Tomas Cerny believes every point will be precious as he and his team-mates bid to remove themselves from a fierce SPL relegation dogfight.

The Czech number one was instrumental in earning his side a 1-1 draw at McDiarmid Park.

The New Douglas Park men moved a place above Kilmarnock into 10th spot with the solitary point garnered in Perth. And Cerny reckons Billy Reid's side have to treasure any positive result. He said: "We didn't play that well in the second half and St Johnstone made a few chances. We take the point and we'll be happy with that.

Last season was very tight and I think it will be the case this season."

Hamilton got their noses in front in the 24th minute with a Mickael Antoine-Curier knock-in but, just five minutes later, Filipe Morais headed in the equaliser.
