Campbell declares desire to sign for Newcastle
SOL Campbell admits he is "very interested" in a move to Newcastle United after revealing they are one of the clubs showing interest in him.
The former England defender left Notts County after just one appearance, and will be available to move on when the League Two side agree to release his registration.
Campbell has been linked with West Brom and has trained with Arsenal to keep up his fitness, but
the 35-year-old believes joining Newcastle could allow him to play a part in a promotion campaign before returning to the Barclays Premier League.
Campbell said: "People might be surprised to hear me say I would be very interested in a move there (to Newcastle], but I have my reasons."
