Burnley stoke fire of survival
BURNLEY manager Brian Laws is convinced the club can stay in the Barclays Premier League after David Nugent's sixth goal since arriving on loan from Portsmouth secured a 1-1 draw at home against Stoke last night.
Burnley dominated the second half but had to settle for a point after Tuncay had opened the scoring for Stoke.
It means that while the Clarets move above Hull they remain in the relegation zone. Next up are fellow strugglers Wolves at home on Saturday and Laws is quietly confident they can get out of trouble.
Laws said: "We have goals in us. Everyone expects Burnley not to be in the Premier League next year but we believe it."
