Buckie thrash Strathspey

BUCKIE Thistle booked a spot in the third round of the Fosters Cup with a 7-1 rout of Strathspey.

Goals from Mike MacDonald (2), Robbie Brown (2), Martin Charlesworth, Zander Sutherland and Paul Napier ensured an easy victory. Joe Hardie was on target for Strathspey.

Inverurie Locos won 3-2 at home to Deveronvale. Bruce Cormie put Locos 1-0 up then Mo Morrison put through his own net. Gary McGowan put the visitors 2-1 up, Steven Park levelled, then Neil Gauld got the winner.

Forres won 3-0 against Wick Academy with goals from Ross MacPherson, Ricky Wardrop and an own goal from Martin Gunn.

Clach won 2-0 away to Fraserburgh, Andrew MacAskill and Gordy Morrison on target. A Dean Donaldson hat-trick helped Keith beat Brora Rangers 4-0. Cammy Keith also scored. Nairn County beat Cove Rangers 2-1. Lossiemouth beat Formartine 2-1, Rothes beat Turriff United 2-1 and in the league Huntly won 2-0 at Fort William.
