Brown given no guarantees at Hull
HULL City manager Phil Brown will be in charge for Sunday's Premier League match against Stoke City, but was not given any assurances about his long-term future by returning chairman Adam Pearson.
Pearson, who has gone back after spending two years at Championship team Derby County, told BBC radio: "Phil will be manager on Sunday, but there's no point me saying he has got a job for life – that's not the case.
Pearson enjoyed a successful spell at Hull from 2001-7 and appointed Brown in December 2006.
