Brewster tries to lift Inverness for Easter Road trip

INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster believes his players can bounce back at Hibs tomorrow to banish the bitter memory of last weekend's drubbing at Rangers.

The Highland side travel to the capital in search of a positive response after their 5-0 embarrassment at Ibrox.

However, as well as tending to the wounds from last week's collapse, Inverness will also have to halt a run of five straight defeats if they are to take anything from Easter Road.

Brewster is well aware he will find no sympathy at his former club, but believes a result in Edinburgh would be the ideal antidote.

He said: "Everybody was obviously down after Saturday, but that game has now passed and we must move on and quickly as we have another very difficult game coming up on Saturday. We know we let ourselves down, but I am confident the players will bounce back. Now all the focus is on winning against Hibs and how the boys react on Saturday. Obviously we had our usual Monday meeting after the weekend game and the boys are desperate to show that the Rangers game was a one-off.

"I feel we have been unlucky in recent weeks...we just hope these things even themselves out over the season.

"There has been a lot of talk about the result on Saturday and we must take the criticism on the chin when we don't do well because we take the plaudits when things go well.

"We have not being getting the results so obviously criticism follows, but we are big enough to take it. Every game is tough in this league, but it is up to us to roll the sleeves up and that's what we must do at Hibs."

Brewster has hinted he could drop Michael Fraser for the Hibs clash after the goalkeeper spilled the ball for Nacho Novo's opener. Fraser's poor kick-out also led to Kris Boyd doubling Rangers' lead. Brewster has former Aberdeen No1 Ryan Esson in reserve following his move from Hereford in the summer and the manager added: "We will wait and see if I decide to rest Michael or not, but these things happen."
