Brechin City's goal hero confident for replay

BRECHIN City goalscorer Rory McAllister believes his side can still make it through to a maiden Scottish Cup semi-final.

He said: "I thought we were unlucky with the goals that we conceded but we have got another crack at them next week. We have to make sure we play at our best and if they aren't on top form we will have a chance."

The 23-year-old plumber, who has scored 45 times in 65 appearances for Brechin, added: "I just enjoy playing my football. It was good playing against a higher level team and I thought I played well."

McAllister's first goal came courtesy of a retaken penalty after Craig Molloy's dinked chip from the spot had been ruled out for enchroachment. The striker added: "I wanted to take the first one but as I had missed the last one I took I thought it was fair enough to let him take it. He didn't want after he'd tried chipping it and failed so I was happy to take the responsibility.

"It was actually me who went into the box early for the first one - perhaps I did it on purpose so that I got to take the second one."
