Boxing: Paulin is in fine form for Scots title bid
Meadowbank’s Lewis Paulin sent out a warning to his fellow title contenders who’ll congregate at Meadowbank Sports Centre for the Scottish Championships this weekend by winning the Scottish Intermediate lightweight title in grand fashion.
Paulin said: “I was just too strong for Campbell in our final and now I’m really fired up for Meadowbank this weekend. I’m really confident that I can do well there.’’
Hailing Paulin’s win, Meadowbank coach Mark Geraghty commented: “I’d even back Lewis against the big favourite for the lightweight Senior title, Charlie Flynn of Newarthill.”
