Boxing: Craigmillar youths win titles
Three Craigmillar boxing young guns won youth and junior titles in the 2012 Eastern District Youth Championships held in Cardenden, Fife.
In an all-Edinburgh light-flyweight 1998 class title clash, Craigmillar’s Brandon Hunter beat Leith Victoria’s Tyler Gibson while Hunter’s light-flyweight clubmate Joe Murray notched up title No. 2 by defeating Fifer Nathan Levers in the 1997 48kg final. Craigmillar welterweight Brodie Robertson made it a hat-trick of title triumphs by seeing off the challenge of Denbeath challenger Lewis Fleming in their 1995 70kg title joust.
