Bowls: Scotland regain European team title in Cyprus
SCOTLAND survived a tense final day of matches to regain the European Team Championships title at Paphos in Cyprus yesterday.
Colin Peacock, Jim Gilruth, Lynn Stein and Michelle Cooper held off a strong challenge by defending champions England over the closing stages of the 16-team event to celebrate success with 248 points to England's 246. Guernsey were third with 218, with Israel and Jersey sharing 208 points apiece in the week-long tournament.
