Boroughmuir 41 - 21 West of Scotland: Boroughmuir show class with third straight win
Boroughmuir's new-look team showed glimpses of what they are capable of on Saturday with a comfortable victory.
The Edinburgh side picked up their third win in a row to keep up their unbeaten start to the season and what will please coaches Fergus Pringle and Phil Smith most is their team's potential.
Impressive displays came from the young props Nick Fraser and Robin Hislop, while back-row Jamie Doubleday has grown into a useful Premier One performer. The form of age-grade caps Fraser and Hislop is particularly timely with stalwart prop Freddie Lait now heading off to New Zealand after marking his last match with a try from the bench.
West will be rueing the fact that they could not take advantage of Boroughmuir's three yellow cards, although they kept going at the home side until the final whistle.
