Bollan completes Clyde's recovery
Queen of the South 0
Clyde 1 Bollan (23)
CLYDE showed no signs of a hangover from their weekend cup drubbing by Celtic as they resumed normal service in their challenge to Falkirk at the top of the First Division. They cashed in on their one slim chance on a pitch which was suited more to brawn than football.
Clyde made their breakthrough in 23 minutes when John Potter headed goalwards from a corner and, though Steve Bowey stopped it on the line, he couldn’t prevent Gary Bollan slamming the rebound home.
Clyde had a penalty claim turned down just after the interval when Harty seemed to be brought down on the edge of the box resulting in a confrontation with Jim Thomson and both were booked.
Queens were showing some life up front as they tried to get back into the game and goalkeeper Bryn Halliwell had to look smart to pull down an effort from Paul Burns at the upright.
The home pressure built as the game wore on but the Clyde defence did well to hold on to their lead.
