Bollan's Lions aiming for double revenge on title rivals Rovers
LIVINGSTON have a double incentive tomorrow when they host Albion Rovers.
Victory would atone a little for losing twice to Rovers in the league cup and the league back in August and, more importantly, put further distance between the Lions and one of their main challengers in the Third Division.
Rovers are third, five points behind Livi and three points behind second-placed Berwick, whose home tie against Queen's Park looks a formality.
The Lions have not played at home since a 1-1 draw with the Wee Gers on 17 October but have since won three on the road, notching 12 goals and conceding just two.
That sort of form that has resulted in a few observers reckoning that the league title has already been wrapped up, but Livingston boss Gary Bollan has warned against complacency.
Bollan, who has a fully-fit squad to choose from, said: "There's a feeling of togetherness in the squad and that, combined with the efforts of coaches Brian Welsh and Scott Paterson, has helped us.
"We're on a good run but we haven't achieved anything and the time to judge us will be at the end of the season.
"I keep hearing we are still regarded as a First Division club but that's no longer the case.
"As far as I'm concerned we're no different from all the other clubs in our division.
"Since I took control of the team there has been a fantastic reaction from the players.
"They've managed to focus on their jobs without dwelling on all the things that have happened off the park."
Rovers played out a lacklustre home draw against the league's bottom club, Montrose, last week and will travel to West Lothian without Bobby Barr, last season's Third Division player of the year . The 20-year-old winger has fallen out with manager Paul Martin who has said he will not play for the Coatbridge club again.
• THE match kicks-off at 12.20pm to avoid a clash with the Wales v Scotland friendly in Cardiff at 3.00pm.
