Billy Reid knows the score in First Division

BILLY Reid claims he will have no problems re-adjusting to life in the Irn-Bru First Division.

The Hamilton boss needs a football miracle to ensure Clydesdale Bank Premier League survival as he prepares for the trip to St Mirren on Monday afternoon.

Accies trail second-bottom Saints by nine points with only four games remaining and, consequently, the Lanarkshire club require a victory in Paisley to retain any chance of an unlikely comeback.

Reid, who managed in the second tier with Clyde and who brought Accies up to the SPL three seasons ago, insists the First Division is an environment which holds no fears for him.

"I would love to manage at the highest level I can and everyone is the same," said Reid.

"Once you've been to places like that (Ibrox and Celtic Park] you don't want to go down but I have been in the First Division for years.

"I know the clubs really well, I know what is expected and what to do down there to get us back up. But it won't be easy down there, that's for sure, it's not an easy league."
