Berwick Rangers 3 - 2 Montrose
TEN-MAN Berwick came back from 2-0 down to snatch an outstanding 3-2 victory at home to Montrose.
Stephen Black opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a 25-yard strike. Just before the break and it was 2-0 Montrose, this time Hugh Davidson the scorer, slotting home a rebound.
The game looked over just two minutes into the second half, when Berwick's Ian Little was sent off for a challenge on Davidson.
Minutes later Davidson was denied by the crossbar as the visitors pressed.
Despite their numerical disadvantage Berwick grabbed a goal back in the 66th minute. After Greg Kelly fumbled David Greenhill's corner, Stuart Callaghan prodded in and it was game on.
Just four minutes later and the 10 men were level. Chris McMenamin turned to fire home, after Darren Gribben's shot was blocked.
Late on Gribben pounced on poor defending to complete a remarkable comeback, giving Jimmy Crease a fine start to his stewardship.
Stenhousemuir 0
Annan Athletic 0
STENHOUSEMUIR were held to a lacklustre goalless draw by Annan at a bitterly cold Ochilview. This game was one of only two to survive the elements in the Third Division.
However, both sides struggled to create any clear-cut openings in a dreary first half.
In the 62nd minute the hosts' keeper Scott Bennett was forced into a brilliant save. Annan's Aaron Muirhead delivered a wicked cross and Jamie Dunbar was denied from point-blank range by Bennett's block.
This scare seemed to awaken the hosts and, in the 72nd minute, Stenhousemuir should have taken the lead. Steven Connolly burst through the Annan rearguard before firing an inviting drive across the goal but none of his team-mates were alert enough to convert the opportunity.
Marshalled by the outstanding Derek Townsley, Annan were rarely threatened, and while they offered little in an attacking sense, the visitors will consider this to be a precious point.
